Wyatt and I waved goodbye at 7:30 this morning and then got ready for our own day. It's getting fun, I tell ya. More and more, I sit back and think, "hey! this parenting thing is pretty cool!" (I'm sure my parents know what I'm talking about since they've had the same feeling every day since 6/20/75. But for me, it's still a new realization.) Today that feeling was sparked by putting Wyatt in his Halloween costume. I mean, really, does it get any better than seeing the apple of your eye dressed up just the way you want? I think not.

Wyatt was a trouper and tolerated - maybe even enjoyed! - being a bat for almost 2 hours during the kids' fall festival. We did have to remove the hat and socks about halfway through since it's still a little warm for fleecey costumes, but then he just perched on my arm for the duration.

That's awesome!! I remember you showing off the costume before I left, but it looks so cute on him!
Wyatt is adorable! Great costume!! And Mommy's looking great, too, by the way :)
Can't wait to see Vice's pictures of the triathalon!
I've never known a bat could be so cute.
There have been a few days of doubt since 6/20/75--but just a few ;)
I love the bat costume! It might be the only thing to end my life-long fear! I should have never watched that movie when I was 8!
Ade, I had no idea you had an aversion to bats. I'm hopeful you're on the road to recovery :)
