When you said to share the gospel, did you mean for people to be sneaky evangelists? Like the lady today at 100Yen who was posing as a shopper? 'Cause she kinda scared me, the way she got all up in my personal space and pulled her church's business card out as if it were drugs that no one could see and, I swear, after looking around to make sure no one was watching said, "miss? could I tell you about a church?"
Ummmmm, hey sneaky lady! Freaking people out is generally not the best way to endear yourself to them but it was really clever the way you and that man you were with went all over the store pretending to be interested in the goods. Did you find anything?
I did. I love 100 Yen. It Rocks. Today's purchases included new ice cream bowls, a funky bib for Wyatt with clever features and very helpful instructions on the back. I also got a crazy fermented red bean kit kat bar, a new kind of chocolates - chopan, but as best I can tell they have something to do with the composer, Chopin, whose dates are listed on the back in the midst of a bunch of kanji - and a rare cheese cake. I haven't gotten up the nerve to try the kit kat or the rare cheese yet, but I'll be sure to let you know how they are.
Oh, and good thing everything's 100 yen because I broke one of the bowls before I made it back to the car. It might have had something to do with Wyatt's carseat being wedged too tightly into the crazy, gimp-wheeled Japanese shopping cart. Now I'll have to go back....oh, the trauma.

Oh, the 100 yen store. I think of, on a daily basis, things I wish I would have bought there. Before you leave that island I'm going to wire you about $100 to blow there for me.
You should maybe just tell me now, in case I'm there and feeling generous :)
Oh my gosh so funny. I love all your great purchases from the 100 yen store. I wish they sold rare cheese cake here in the U.S., but alas I will have to wait for Lisa to ship some to us.
