Well, apparently sweet Wyatt is a genius. Not only did he hear EVERYTHING Dr. Sucks-A-Lot said today, but he really took it to heart. I mean, he must have understood how distraught I was. Therefore, between 2 pm and 8 pm he consumed:
3 oz. formula + 5 minutes nursing
1/3 of a serving of sweet potatoes
15 minutes nursing
mashed baked beans off my dinner plate*
pureed peas and chicken from Isaac's dinner plate*
4 oz. formula
15 minutes nursing.
That's right, I'm eating crow right about now because apparently YES, my child has been hungry for approximately 6 months.
*No, we are no longer following the "introduce one new food every 4 days" rule. We have moved to triage mode where we offer anything the child thinks he wants. Turns out he has a more sophisticated palate than I gave him credit for and likes his food with flavor, hence the downing of my mashed baked beans. It was beautiful. He opened up like a little birdy over and over, just waiting for me to give him more beans. So then we (Lisa and Kristen witnessed tonight's miracle) offered the homemade pea/chicken combo to test the "he likes real food" theory.
And also, his little belly was SO full that I'm hoping he doesn't explode during the night :)

Yippee! Look out for the next diaper or two!!!
Oh my gosh...I don't even want to think of that diaper! Starting to feed solids is fun, but I dread the mookie changes...I wonder if he'll get gas from the beans? Hee hee!
