Taking Advantage

We've decided that this is probably the closest we'll ever live to the beach and that we don't enjoy it nearly enough. Therefore, tonight's dinner was turned into a picnic at Sunabe Beach with the Drews. I mean, really, if we get sent somewhere north of oh, say Miami, we will regret not taking advantage of shorts and tshirt weather in late November. Of course it looked like we were packing for a weekend away, not an hour for dinner but it was totally worth turning the husbands into pack mules in exchange for our front row seats to a beautiful sunset :)

And lest you think we're unaware, ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!! What a game! Jeff was actually at work (we calculated the start time incorrectly) so he had to settle for my play-by-plays over the phone. Wyatt lost interest in actually watching (must work on this!) but seemed rather entertained by my cheering, jeering and singing. Go figure. It's a good day to bleed Crimson and Blue :)

It was a great day to be a Jayhawk basketball fan. (Or so I read in the paper this morning since the game didn't start until 10 p.m. Kansas time.) There was another game played in Columbia yesterday but we'll just overlook that!

Hope you remembered to have Wyatt wear his KU hat
