On Joy and Gratitude

I feel compelled to profess how grateful I am for my life. Why today, you ask? Well, because in the last 48 hours I have learned of an F-15 crash that didn't have the same happy ending as my husband's did, two and a half years ago (no, we don't know the family, but my heart aches for them because I cannot imagine what they are going through) and a friend's little girl who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Man, life is not fair. These two families are heavy on my heart.

And I also have to share a little of my own personal joy - our furniture was delivered today! For the first time in my married life, I am actually comfortable on our couch and feel like my home is starting to reflect me.

Please forgive me for mixing such heavy and fluffy topics, but hey. That's who I am.

We cannot stop thinking about you guys. We are so thankful that Jeff had a happy ending as well. Praise God for that. As you said, our hearts are aching for the family as well. Have a lovely day with your new couches!!
